Funerals

Even if you are not a regular churchgoer you can still have your funeral in Church. This can be followed either by burial or by a committal at the crematorium.

The Rector is also able to conduct a full service at the Crematorium

We will always seek to make your service as personal as possible. It is customary to include a tribute to the person who has died and this can be delivered by the minister or by a family member or friend. It is possible to include special music and the church has a sound system and the ability to play CDs. This does need careful thought and is best discussed with the minister.

Every November we have a Memorial Service where people can come to remember loved ones who have died. A specific invitation goes out to those who have been bereaved in the previous 12 months but it is open to all. Names can be read out and candles lit. Many people find this helpful.
